The Pikes Peak Blues Community exists to enhance the vitality of Blues and American Roots Music by supporting live performance and education.

Greeley Blues Fest 08 

June 14 * Saturday  * The Colorado Blues Society presents the 4th annual Greeley Blues Fest on  at Island Grove Arena in Greeley.  Scheduled to appear are:  Magic Slim & the Teardrops, Canned Heat, Lil? 2008 High Mountain Hay Fever Bluegrass Festival

July 10th, 11th, 12th, 13th  * Westcliffe

The music soars to even greater heights at the sixth annual High Mountain Hay Fever Bluegrass Festival this July in the heart of the Rocky Mountains.  Laurie Lewis and Right Hands, Danny Paisley & The Southern Grass, The Bradley Walker Band, The Alecia Nugent Band and many other nationally-recognized top-notch, bluegrass performers descend on Westcliffe, Colorado for four days in July to benefit the Wet Mountain Valley Community Clinic.  The line-up also includes festival co-hosts, the inimitable Dry Branch Fire Squad and high-energy harmonizers Sons and Brothers along with Michael Cleveland and Flamekeeper, The Corndrinkers, The Charlie Sizemore Band, The Wronglers, Diane Ferlatte and Heidi Clare and Lonesome Cowboy Hobo Wyoming Slim.  Stellar regional performers, the Coal Creek Bluegrass Band, Blue Canyon Boys and Lonesome Traveler Bluegrass Band kick the festival into high gear Thursday evening.  Many of the performers will also conduct workshops throughout the weekend, including new children?s workshops, and the new tradition at the festival ? a Friday night ?High Mountain Hoot Owl Show & Jam? on the workshop stage after the Main Stage closes. The Friday night event is sponsored by the Colorado Bluegrass Music Society.
