Half Way Home is a local Colorado Springs band. They play nostalgia and alternative rock, and have been gigging in town since 2003. They've been spotlighted in "The Go" and have played in many downtown venues, such as The Ritz, McCabe's Tavern, Jose Muldoon's, Wooglin's Deli, etc. What their friends and fan base seem to like best is their diverse song base--they cover songs that span from the late '60s all the way up to today, and artists that span from Bob Dylan, The Grateful Dead, and Van Morrison, to Sheryl Crow, 3 Doors Down, Counting Crows, and Gin Blossoms. They also combine songs everyone's heard of with some newer, less often heard artists such as Carbon Leaf, Garrison Starr, and Kristen Hall. Dena Samuels is the lead singer and rhythm guitarist, David Brockway is the lead guitarist, Gary Gould is on bass, and Eddie Dowdle is the drummer. Mostly, They are a fun band people can listen to, dance to, and sing along with, at various times in an evening! They LOVE what they do!
